5-16-08: She held her bottle by herself several times. She also had her first experience with rice cereal. She was really hungry and didn't know what to think of it, so it was a short feeding. She kept sucking on the spoon, like it was her bottle, and then cried when I pulled it out of her mouth. She also sat in her walker today for the first time.

5-17-08: We watched Tayler for a while this morning, and we decided to all go to the park. So K had her first experience in the grass, on a slide and out right in the sun for a few minutes.

Dad likes to give her a squishy face, and also do the "balancing act" She really loves all the attention!

He also puts his mouth by hers and goes "ahhhh ahhhh ahhhh" And she opens her mouth and smiles and giggles! She thinks it's great!

Dylan is being hysterical all the time now too! I went to our room, to get more clothes, and came back and there he was, in the DRYER! I also was feeding Kaitlyn in our room while we all watched TV, and he went in our bathroom. When I went to see what he was doing, he was in the tub and had pillows and a blanket. Like it was time for a nap. It's so funny. One night after we layed him down to bed, we found him hauling his matress into the hallway. I guess he didn't want to sleep in his room that night! He also has started climbing in the dog door, so that our alarm doesn't beep from opening the back door. Silly boy!

May 1st: Trav and Jen celebrated 10 years together and 5 years MARRIED. YAY!!! We went to Castle Creek Inn for the night, and D and K stayed at Grandma and Grandpa Syme's for the night. This was Kaitlyn's first night away from us.

Mother's Day was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better day. Thanks Trav and kids.

Trav and Jen went to a parenting seminar on Thursday 5-15-08. It was GREAT. Jen is reading Scream Free Parenting, by Hal Runkel. And LOVE the book, and listening to him on the radio. So we decided to attend the seminar. It only cost $10 each, so it was WELL WORTH IT! Plus it included lunch. It was amazing. And Travis is now really jazzed about it all, and wants to read the book, as well as implement his ideas in our family/home. If you want to see what it's all about, go to http://www.screamfree.com/.
I hope all is well for everyone and that you have a great weekend.
I am really stoked about going to Yellowstone in June. YAY. It's coming quickly.
