Yesterday 2/18/09, we went to WalMart to look at a few things. This was Travis's "pity Jenni, and make her feel better shopping". Anyways, it was really cheerful for me! I don't know what it was, but I wasn't in the best mood. So it did cheer me up, cause he let me get some really cute new shoes. Which I LOVE! Darling! If I don't say so myself. Not to mention that I don't get to casually shop anymore lately.
Well, the news is, while we were there....
In the shoe department, K was getting really antsy about sitting in the cart. So I let her down on the floor (yes I know, I know, GROSS. Typically, I wouldn't either). But then she pulled herself up, and was holding on to the cart. Then I looked down at her, and she was taking a step.
NOT HOLDING ON!
This was really exciting because it was her FIRST step.
When we got home afterward, we were enticing her with things to get her to keep trying. We would put something she wanted on part of the couch, and then she'd go to it, and then we'd move it to the other side. She was doing really good. Sometimes even taking 3 teensie steps at a time.
Moments like these, to always be cherished!

oh how exciting!!! I am still waiting for Preston to even act interested in walking! That is so fun that she is starting to walk!
