Rewards Rewards Rewards - - August 4th

There's nothing better than bribing a 5 year old into doing something.

This is just one of those instances.

When you want them to do something, but they are reluctant to try, or wanna just fight you about it all the way!

Well this was a perfect time to use an excuse, me wanting to go to this place again, and it was a perfect reward for him for doing some writing I wanted him to do.  SUB ZERO is YAAAA-UMMMMY!

So I said "If you write your name for me FIVE times, we can go get ice cream tonight!"

Well without a second thought or any hesitation he says "OK".

I was so excited that he agreed.  Though afterwards he was putting it off, and I had to coax him along a little. 

But he did it!! He did a super job too!

He wrote his name five times.

He's doing amazing.

I think he's made some substantial improvements since his Kindergarten orientation back in April.  At which time he didn't even KNOW the letters of his name, aside from it starts with D.

Now he not only KNOWS his letters, he can also WRITE them out.

I'm so PROUD of you Dylan.
