Last but not least, Lilly's room...

I don't know exactly when this was officially finished for sure; because we have been working on it, and adding to it for a while here and there.
But we decided to go with Green for her room. To skip the traditional PINK girls room. I had seen a bedding set in almost identical colors at USA Baby. But the price tag broke my heart when it was on SALE for $149.00 for a 4 pc set. I loved the color scheme of black, white and green a lot, but not for that ridiculous price. SALE, bahahaha, that's not a sale!!
Then what do ya know. My sis in law brought me this darling green, cream and black flower print.  Then it became the whole scheme for the room. Just about the same as what I had wanted, but for a lot smaller price tag. The only catch was I had to make it all myself. Which was fine with me, since I was thinking about this all so far ahead of time.
Here are a couple things I made to hang on the wall.
Here is the bedding. I made the sheet, bumpers, skirt and blanket.
A little close up of all the patterns together.
Here you can see how it all looks on the crib better.
And the curtain I made to match everything.
It's a little dark, as we shot against a sun filled window.
And Kaitlyn modeling the chair.
We have since added a shelf and lamp to the side of this.
(I will have to add more pics later.)
It's been so much fun working on all this.
I can't imagine what it would have looked like if I had decided to just buy any other bedding set. I love the color combination, and the different patterns used. It was really a labor of love making everything.
It took a lot of time, but I think the end result was all worth it.
Now we just need baby Lilly to get here already; so we can actually enjoy more time in her room, and cuddling up with her.

It's amazing to me that we are only a few short weeks away, approx 7-8 to go.  It's been a whirlwind, and we are all so anxious to meet her.
